August 2005: The first region ever visited, when READ International was still the “Tanzania Book Project”. The team of volunteers from Nottingham delivered 25,000 textbooks to 20 schools in the region.

August 2008: Volunteers from Queen Mary’s University in London delivered books to 23 schools in the region, several teacher training colleges and resource centres, and the regional library.
